WYOMING R&D // EST. 2026

RESEARCH STAGE

// CHAPTER 01

AI-assisted dermatology,
earned the hard way.

An AI triage and prescribing platform built from day one for Utah’s AI Learning Lab.

// CHAPTER 02

October 5, 2026.
Utah opened the door.

The first U.S. state to authorize AI-issued prescriptions. A formal sandbox. A public process. We intend to walk through it.

// CHAPTER 03

Rosacea first.

Narrow. Visual. Low risk. Sixteen million Americans. The same formula that earned the first approval.

SCROLL TO CONTINUE

// 01 — THE OPENING

The door just opened.

On October 5, 2026, Utah became the first U.S. state to authorize artificial intelligence to issue first-time prescriptions. Nolla Health’s agreement with Utah’s Office of Artificial Intelligence Policy (OAIP) and Division of Professional Licensing cleared AI-issued prescriptions for topical acne treatments under a staged pilot with decreasing physician oversight.

// 02 — THE PROTOCOL

Rosacea first. Narrow, visual, low risk.

First-line rosacea treatments are prescription-only topicals: metronidazole, azelaic acid 15%, ivermectin 1%, brimonidine, oxymetazoline. Chronic condition, subscription fit, mild side-effect profile.

EPIDERMIS DERMIS HYPODERMIS AI SCAN
AI-GUIDED DERMAL SCAN // ROSACEA PROTOCOL

/ 01

Photo intake

10 to 15 minutes on a phone camera. Facial photos plus medical history. No appointment, no waiting room.

/ 02

AI assessment

Severity scored against physician-approved protocols. Fixed formulary only. Anything uncertain escalates to a licensed physician. The AI never improvises.

/ 03

Staged oversight

Every prescription reviewed by a Utah-licensed physician for the first 100 patients. Steps down to retrospective review only with written state approval.

/ 04

Pharmacy fulfillment

Approved prescriptions route to a licensed pharmacy. Refills and progress tracking continue inside the subscription.

// HARD GUARDRAILS

  • Topical treatments only. No oral medications, no controlled substances.
  • Fixed formulary. The AI cannot prescribe outside physician-approved options.
  • Adults 18 and older only.
  • Utah patients only during the sandbox pilot.

// 03 — THE PATHWAY

Utah’s AI Learning Lab.

A formal regulatory relief program for AI in healthcare. Public process, no application fee, 12-month agreements with one possible 12-month extension. Monthly safety reporting, quarterly public reports.

/ 01

Informal conversation

Introductory discussion with OAIP. No documents required.

/ 02

Short proposal

2 to 10 pages, scored against a published rubric.

/ 03

Extended proposal

20 to 50+ page clinical and technical dossier with external clinical review.

/ 04

Demo + agreements

Live product demo, red-teaming, privacy, customer, and insurance agreements.

/ 05

Signed agreement

Regulatory relief signed. The pilot deploys under sandbox protections.

// PRECEDENT PILOTS

// 05 — USE OF FUNDS

Year-one budget, benchmarked.

Planning benchmarks compiled from public sources, October 2026: insurance broker data, telehealth physician market rates, DTC acquisition benchmarks, OAIP application requirements.

// 06 — MILESTONES

The next 90 days.

D 01–14

Open the door

Request the informal conversation with OAIP. Confirm Wyoming entity good standing. Retain Utah healthcare regulatory counsel.

D 15–45

Build the clinical core

Recruit a Utah-licensed dermatologist as medical director. Lock the condition and formulary. Collect insurance broker quotes.

D 46–90

File and build

Submit the short proposal. Build the web intake MVP. Begin clinical validation. Register the foreign entity in Utah.

M 04–06

Agreement + launch

Extended proposal, external clinical review, live demo, signed agreement, staged pilot launch.

// KILL CRITERIA

  • OAIP declines the condition or the relief request.
  • Specialty malpractice quotes come back above $80,000 per year.
  • No Utah-licensed dermatologist partner at a workable retainer.
  • Counsel finds the corporate-practice structure unworkable.

// 07 — TEAM

Small team, serious oversight.

Drosia is built by operators and governed by physicians. The medical leadership seat is open and in active recruitment: a Utah-licensed dermatologist as founding medical director.

FOUNDER

Aaron Beasley

Awaken. Founder and operator across consumer health and marketplace products.

MEDICAL DIRECTOR

Recruiting

Utah-licensed dermatologist. Owns all clinical protocols and the formulary.

CLINICAL ADVISORS

In formation

Dermatology and AI-safety advisors to be named at application.

// STRUCTURE

  • Awaken — Wyoming research and development company. Sandbox applicant and research sponsor.
  • Uncut Rush — software publishing company. Builds and operates the Drosia platform.
  • Drosia — planned patient-facing brand for the Utah pilot.
  • Clinical decisions sit with licensed physicians, never with the operating companies.

// 08 — CLINICAL GOVERNANCE

Safety is the architecture.

The pilot is designed the way Utah’s sandbox requires: narrow scope, fixed formulary, staged physician oversight, and hard stops where the AI must defer.

/ 01

Physician-owned protocols

Every treatment pathway is written and approved by the medical director. The AI executes protocols; it does not invent them.

/ 02

Staged oversight

Proposed, mirroring Utah’s approved template: a physician reviews every prescription for the first 100 patients, then daily retrospective review, then weekly sample review. Each step-down only with written state approval.

/ 03

Hard-stop exclusions

Under 18, outside Utah, uncertain diagnosis, red-flag symptoms: the system stops and routes to a human. No exceptions, no overrides.

/ 04

Continuous reporting

Adverse events tracked and reported. Monthly safety reporting and quarterly public reports, per sandbox terms. Third-party evaluator access from day one.

// FORMULARY DISCIPLINE

  • Topical generics only: metronidazole, azelaic acid 15%, ivermectin 1%. No oral medications, no controlled substances, ever.
  • The AI cannot prescribe outside the physician-approved formulary. The constraint is technical, not procedural.

// 09 — DATA & PRIVACY

Patient data, handled like it matters.

Facial images and health histories are the most sensitive data a platform can hold. The defaults are set accordingly.

// COMMITMENTS

  • HIPAA-aligned handling of all protected health information, with business associate agreements across vendors.
  • Encryption in transit and at rest. Access limited to the care team on a need-to-know basis.
  • Patient images are never sold, never used for advertising, and never used to train models without explicit opt-in consent.
  • Patients can export and delete their data at any time.

Full privacy policy and terms of service publish before the pilot enrolls its first patient.

// 10 — SOURCES

Every claim, traceable.
